Enclosed another set of rules for <u>ON GUARD</u>.
Call from <u>Wald</u>. He would like to get together to play his Cartel
<u>GAME</u> - he needs help on it. Set tentative date for Tuesday
at 3:30 at S.P.I.
He and <u>Claude</u> <s>(probably</s> are supposed to go to see <u>Jules Cooper</u>
tomorrow at Ideal (altho Claude may not be up to going).
Wald wants to try and get an assignment from Ideal
similar to the Hasbro, but for $10,000. I told him that I
had my doubts, but I'd be interested in the results.
Wald was pleased that Cooper remembered him.
Wald was interested in getting the names of other people
to see at game companies - even if it meant his traveling
to other cities. I told him that this is <u>Felicia</u>'s stock
in trade and that I couldn't just give it out. He said he can
find out, and I'd just be saving him time. I didn't answer.
Call from <u>Felicia</u>. She had a long talk with <u>Bob Johnson</u>
and he sounded more optimistic about the game program at
Hallmark. He likes the new man in charge, <u>Jack Jonathon</u>.
Jonathon will be in charge of overall policy - how deep a
coverage, etc. - but Johnson will pick the games.
I asked and Felicia said that Johnson is still crazy
about <u>FOCUS</u>. He also is crazy about <u>TOTTER</u>.
Felicia asked him if there will be any royalties on
<u>FITTING AND PROPER</u>, etc, There may be a little, altho they
have warehouses full of the games.
I told Felicia that altho I have no desire to be at
<s>the</s> any business sessions with Johnson & Jonathon, I do
want to talk to Bob about the refinements I <s>had</s> have
for <u>RED LETTER</u>, and the questions he had for me about
<u>PE-LING</u> and possibly some other. She'll keep it in mind.
<u>SKYSCRAPERS</u> is back from 3M - probably both models but
Felicia didn't open it yet.
Felicia was at Brentano's and spoke to the new buyer,
<u>Irving Kossoff</u>. She likes him. Kenny - she didn't
remember his second name - has <u>Dorothy Shapiro</u>'s old
job and she finds that he is very knowledgeable about
games. He knows and likes mine.
They have been out of <u>ACQUIRE</u> and <u>SLEUTH</u> for the
last three months. 3M insulted them by refusing to ship on
order until an $87.00 bill was paid. Also Brentano's
wanted to exchange some copies of <u>OH-WAN-REE</u> (which
never sold) for other games and 3M refused. The
3M salesman has apologized and things will probably be
patched up. Felicia wrote to <u>Keith Tuggle</u> complaining
about the whole thing,
<u>BALI</u> is selling well at Brentano's. But the hottest item
