7 SUNDAY - JULY 1974 FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST - 188TH DAY - 177 DAYS TO COME

Realized that when Robert Herzog was here (see 6/24) I used two markers from my CLUE game, and he took them with him. Called and left a message with his recorder.

Played THE GREAT RACES with the Karlan's. They liked it, but would have preferred a bigger sheet. The rule about ties being settled in favor of the player starting later was used a few times.

get a copy of THE GUIDE TO SIMULATIONS/GAME FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING and he took the address.

Call from Robert Herzog. He had two markers from my CLUE game and said that he'd mail them to me. He asked about KARATE again and I said that he'd have to make it more exciting, even - or especially - if he intends it for children.

Spoke to Claude and we'll probably go to his house to play RIP-OFF Thursday.

Wrote to Odette Willis. Mention HIGH RISE, PATTON, MACARTHUR, Pierre Berloquin, and Lucien Vittet.

have one he can give you the requested object - plus $100,000 or he can deny having it. You now can accept his denail denial and pay him $100,000, or you can take him to "Superior Court." There you look at all his object cards - but don't show them to the other players. If he has the object he gives it to you plus $300,000. If not you give him $300,000.

When a player gets a matching object and title he can register them by returning to "start" by exact count. When six sets have been registered the game ends and the registered sets collect from $2,000,000 for the first down to $1,500,000 for the sixth. Players can register an sto object card alone but if and these are worth from $1,000,000 down to $500,000. However if a set is later registered of the same object, the single card is worthless. All cards are registered in secret. I won by getting a number of sets and registering them, avoiding swindles as much as possible. We, including Raymond, discussed ways of making swindling more essential. I suggested making the money for registering more in proportion with the money players have to work with. Also to make it
