Call from Issy Rothman about getting together some time
next week to play Claude's RIP-OFF. Issy would like anything
he adds to be credited to Earl. Had difficulty coming up
with a time and place convenient for all of us. Decided
that it was up to Claude to do the setting up and will Issy
will call him.
Made plans for a social visit here towards the end of July, including Claude and Anne.
Call from Claude and we also had difficulties working out a time and place. Claude feels that he doesn't need help on RIP-OFF, but would like to show it off. I said that I'd like to see RIP-OFF and Wald's Cartel GAMES at the same time. Claude doesn't think Wald has it ready yet. Also he didn't seem to want to share the stage. Left things unsettled. Claude asked, and we changed our 7/12 date to either 7/18 or 7/19. Told him of the plans with the Rothmans.
Played THE GREAT RACES with BB. The idea of marked spaced for determining 2nds worked well.
(cont. from 7/7) [7/11]
get more, instead of less, at the last ones are approached. Another suggestion I had was allowing a player to register only after winning a card at a swindle. Raymond suggested being allowed to register after being in court - win or lose. Clause also wants to keep the registering for reading start - in addition to the swindle registering. (This needs more work.) [started 7/11]
