JUNE 1974 - FRIDAY 28 179TH DAY - 186 DAYS TO COME
Call from Maxine Brady who got my number from Mike Alber/ She is working on a book for McKay (spelling?) called THE MONOPOLY BOOK and she is interested in seeing what I had about MONOPOLY in AGOG. She can't find one. Told her that I'd give her one and then suggested trading for her book. She was enthusiastic. I'll drop AGOG at Mike Alber's for her - and also a copy of S&T, which I told her about - and she was quite interested. (Incidentally, Mike said the games for me were not ready yet.)
I told her about Willard Allphin's letter to me on MONOPOLY, and gave her his address and number.
She said that most of the book would be devoted to "strategy."
Bought TIMES, but couldn't find the article Terry Seymour told me about.

the same play as their first. Bob would like to put it out under the name CREATIVE FEATURES, aimed at children. He asked which packaging to use and I said the flat package, not bookshelf - which has adult connotation.
I brought up HOLIDAY and Bob though I meant it should be put
into bookshelf and he said that it didn't sell well enough to
deserve that. I told Bob that I think that I can use the
cards with paper and pencil to save most of the game at a
must much cheaper retail. We'll talk about it. Incidentally he said
that HOLIDAY sold out at Brentano's - Krock (spelling?) in Chicago.
During the Conversation Bob thanked me for staying with them when things were so bad.
Called Mike Abner and he called me back. Next Monday, or Tuesday will be fine to pick up THE INVENTORS and PRO DRAFT - and to bring him a copy of AGOG.
Made rough board for THE GOOD EARTH and a rough set of cards. Played 4-hand by myself and changed the numbers of cards about a dozen times until I came up with a good balance. Tried it 2-hand with BB, each one playing 2 fields. Worked pretty good.
