3 MONDAY - JUNE 1974
CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY (KY..LA) - 154TH DAY - 211 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. a letter from David H. Ahl, at the suggestion of the inventor
of BUGS & LOOOPS. Ahl is starting a magazine called
CREATIVE COMPUTING MAGAZINE which will deal with programming
games. He'd like me to do an article. He'd also like to review
AGOG when it comes out in paperback.

Rcd. a letter from Odette Willis, with the rules for HIGH RISE
and a picture of a game in progress. Also a mention of
Pierre Berloquin.

Call from Felicia. Keith Tuggles's secretary called her Friday &
she returned the call today. The secretary said that they rcd.
the release for NO WAY but that they didn't have the game.
Felicia said that Keith had taken it but the secretary - Debbie -
said he did not. Keith, incidentally won't be back until 6/17.
Felicia said I should call and talk to Debbie.
Called and Debbie put me over to Carol Peterson who accepted the
call. Told her and she said it was probably buried somewhere in
Keith's briefcase. I said that I'd send her new repros. She
said it would go into testing as soon as they get them.
She rcd. the repro of my ACQUIRE article and had copies
made to show the others. Told her about G&P and she asked
me to send their address.

Called Harold Frankel to check whether he'd be in today so that
I can return the report to him. Yes.
He said that he was very disappointed that they won't be
doing POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER. However, Stubbman thinks he can
do everything himself. He was glad, though that he met me
and someday he expects to be doing something with me - at Kohner
or elsewhere.

To Felicia. Gave her THE BRAIN GAME. She has already sent
TOTALLY, FOREIGN INTRIGUE, and SPACE BOXES to Aladdin. The
rest will go tomorrow. Also SKYSCRAPERS to 3M.
Felicia said that Jacks Kelso said that my work was rep-
etitious. I listed the 8 games that they want sent of mine:
THE BRAIN GAME, FOREIGN INTRIGUE, TOTALLY, SPACE BOXES,
INTERSECTION, SPECTRUM, FREE FORM, and PUSHOVER. I pointed
out that the first four were all completely different. The
last four were all strategy games, but the play was completely
different. She still said that Jas Kelso said they were rep-
etitious and she thinks that they may suggest my taking
features from different games to make one for them.
She rcd. a copy model of Lucien Vittet's HIGH RISE. I looked at
the model and read the rules. They weren't quite clear and
it also seemed like it didn't do enough for the expensive
equipment involved. She was thinking of showing it to Owens-
Illinois who are coming in soon, but won't until I look at
it more thoroughly. Was going to take the model home but, since
it was heavy, decided to take it another time.
