Call from Felicia. She spent a long time with Keith Tuggle
yesterday. Then he went to 200 5th to look over the competition.
FOREIGN INTRIGUE is being returned. It still doesn't have
"play value." I told her what Kathy Brooks told me yesterday
and she said that Kathy is dumb.
The Bookshelf games are going up to $10.95. The exec V.P. says that
the games have to make money.
Felicia heard that 3M was going back into the juvenile field, but
Keith was upset when she mentioned it and wouldn't look at anything. Ac-
tually from her further conversation I felt that it was a type of black-
board, etc. that they were going into.
They are also going into more of the IMAGE type games. Like
EVENTS I mentioned.
Felicia told Keith about NO WAY and he thought that the sheets would
have to be printed differently - which would not be economically feasible.
I told her that they can all be the same.
DIAL AND LEARN was a good item she can't get while it lasted. She
can't get a release - so maybe they will put it out again.
The Gamettes are being phased out. VENTURE and SLEUTH will be put
into a new line, which he wouldn't tell her about.
Felicia again brought up how well BAZAAR did at the Hallmark exhibit.
She still can't get HIGH BID back.
She showed Keith everything she had except that she forgot WIDGET.
She wondered if it was worth showing. I read my notes on it.
Dick Harris said there was something like it on the market when he
saw it. I said that I didn't think so.
Alan Newman sent his NFL FRANCHISE OWNER to Skor-Mor but
Al Stack claims that he never rcd. it.
Keith told Felicia that they are interested in sports games for their
p&p line, but she said not to tell Keith she told me. They have
more p&p games submitted than they can keep up with. They are
probably taking one of Alan Newman's called PRIVATE EYE.
Keith took 4 puzzles with him. They were THE WEAVER, one she didn't
name, and Denis Ladouceur's LIFE SAVER and COUGH DROP.
Denis will do another 3 for the series.
When Keith saw SPACE the plastic scared him. One of the towers
is off at the bottom. I'll bring cement to fix it sometime. She said that
it had been everywhere. I suggested Aurora and she said she had con-
nections there.
She called Kohner to try and find out about SHAPE AND SHATTER from
Harold Frankel. He was out of town.
She was worried about not seeing the "American Greetings" games. I told her
that I had seen them. She worry's about Hallmark's reaction to A.G.'s flop.
She hears that the card game UNO is doing very well.
I'll bring the 3M contracts (see 5/18) tomorrow before my meeting
with Keither. She said to hav ask Keith for some more disclosure forms.
Arranged to go there next Tuesday as well to try out ZIGGURAT with
her and Denis Ladouceur.
FOREIGN INTRIGUE came back from 3M by UPS. In good shape.
