31 SUNDAY - MARCH 1974
FIFTH SUNDAY IN LENT - 90TH DAY - 275 DAYS TO COME

Brought a copy of REALM to the Sternbergs.
Brought along THE WINNING TICKET. The Karlans, the Sternbergs,
and Helen's sister and brother-in-law played. They all liked it. One
"City Card" was unpopular and I agreed; the one that forces the
player drawing it to trade it even if it is not to his advantage.
Another change I think I'll make is to change the cards allowing
buying a "potential winning ticket" to be used only after
two numbers have been picked. There is little incentive to
use it after the first number.

Call from Jerry D'Arcey. He asked if the name HAGGLE had been used.
Yes. He has an idea for a game similar to a "multiple
solitaire - but using pictures of paper currency to give the
card values. Told him of Stancraft's SPITE & MALICE. He
envisages a game as a followup by Parker for WATERWORKS.
The only things that Jerry brought to Toy Fair that still are possible
are MONOLITH and the lawn game. Parker returned everything
without comment.
Told Jerry I was sending him a clipping on "Hang-Gliding".

Call from Claude. Told him I decided not to go to any meeting
with Mitch Reid, since I can't see working for HASBRO.
I also said that it wouldn't be practical for me to go to NYGA
meetings since they would be at least partially involved with
HASBRO. Claude said they are having a working meeting Tuesday
prior to the Thursday meeting. They are also having a
meeting on 4/13 in the evening at Earl's. I have a prior engagement.
Made date to go out with the girls this coming Thurs.
