30 SUNDAY - DECEMBER 1973
FIRST SUNDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS - 364TH DAY - 1 DAY TO COME
Working some more with the choice of "spy identity" cards
for FOREIGN INTRIGUE. Decided to make the set consist of
30 cards. The "calling" cards will still be 18, and I'll make
the "assignment" deck 60 cards. I'll put the "spy lists"
on cardboard the same size as the note sheets.
Bob Abbott called. He is working on revising BABEL to eliminate
the POKER hands and wanted a book to brush up on the
probabilities. He and his wife came over to borrow one.
Call from Claude while Bob was here, and I had them talk a
while. Claude cut the game short conversation short to
play ACQUIRE with Anne, Raymond, and Ritchie.
2nd call from Claude with some questions on ACQUIRE rules
He mentioned that the December PSYCHOLOGY TODAY has
ads for some games. He'll check them out for me.
He saw an ad for a book that says it has "games" - quite a
few - to tune up the mind. YOU CAN THINK BETTER THAN YOU THINK YOU CAN
by Dr. Ernst Ott - publ. by Peter H. Wyden. (Claude said that they
are coutious about letting you look at their books at their
main offices on 3rd Ave.)
