24 WEDNESDAY * OCTOBER 1973
UNITED NATIONS DAY * 297TH DAY * 68 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. Oct. TOYS. Nothing in particular.

Earl called and offered to have me teach the course in BRIDGE (see 10/19)
and he'll give over the money to me. Said "no thanks, but what I meant
was that he really had to study up in order to teach the course - not that
I wanted to do the teaching myself."
Made a tentative date for 11/9. I'll call Issy and Claude to check with them.

Call from James Trager concerning his game BAWDY BESS. Told him
that I just hadn't had an opportunity to get to it and am not
sure just when I can. Told him that I certainly wouldn't object to
his taking back his model. He said he wants me to work on it and
will call me in about a month.

Call from Felicia. She rcd. a package from 3M with PROFIT,
BROKEN ENGLISH, and LINK-UP. Told her that I already had
the latter and she asked me if she could give it as a gift to a kid
whose father is out of work. Sure.
She has a game called SPIDER which she finds interesting.
Hans Goldschmidt wants to send her loads of things and she is
trying to get him to send her a description first. She finds that he
often takes an existing idea, makes a small change, and expects to
be paid royalties.

Rcd. a package from American Greetings with BROKEN ENGLISH
and FAIR SHAKE.

Call from Harold Saperstein. He has S & T #32, 33, 34, and 35. Told
him I'd bring him up to date when we visit him.

Call from Claude. He is still working on the puzzles aspects
of DIABOLIQUE. He likes the way differently colored numbers
fall into patterns when arranged for solutions.
Told him about the tentative date for 11/9.
