Call from Felicia. She had written to Keith asking about PROFIT. She just rcd. [received] a letter from Kathy Brooks who (Felicia said) was writing on Bill Caruson's behalf. They are sending her my model of PROFIT, and also two competitive games that they have in duplicate for me collection.
She didn't know what to do with PROFIT. MB and Parker, she said, don't want to look at my games because they are too strategic. I said that PROFIT is at the same level as MILLE BORNES and TOURING. Then she said that M.B. is doing their own cards games. But she'll try.
Someone from Ideal will be coming next week. She wonders whether she should show him LOTTERY. I said that it is in the same class as THE BOSS. She said that THE BOSS flopped - but she'll show LOTTERY.
Herb Roth is angry at the way Ennio Racinelli didn't tell him anything about his dealing with National Paragon, and won't handle D.D.I. anymore. She said that the only one of their games that is any good is AIRPORT (which I told her).
Herb looked at the samples of FITTING & PROPER, etc. and thinks they are great.
Sol Cohen of Childcraft, looked at a lot of her children's items and like when Felicia showed him PSYCHOLOGICAL BLOCKS, said that he had seen it before, and said that he had met George Bredehorn. Felicia didn't think that Stan Chess knew about George having shown it before.
Felicia's Claude (I believe it was him) wants to see a copy of WORLD magazine with the article on me, but can't find a back number. Told her I'd bring her repros. [reproductions]
Felicia said that Jerry D'Arcey and Gini Scott were both in town. (I had told her that I saw Jerry.)

Made a model of POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER.

Call from Alan Newman. (See 7/2 and 9/24.) He ordered a copy of GUIDE TO SIMULATIONS/GAMES FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING after seeing it in my column. The check was cashed but he never got the book. He wrote to them two weeks ago, but no answer. He asked if I had some way of contacting them. No-other than the address in the book. Noticed that the address in given both as Lexington and as Cambridge. Told him this and he'll try to call them. Asked him to let me know how he makes out. If no success I'll try writing. Also we'll set up a date to get together.

Getting together with Jerry D'Arcey reminded me added to add BLOCKHEAD to the list of games for Jim Dunnigan.

With BB to Claude's. Earl, Issy, and Betty Rothman there. Claude had a copy of BID N' BET that he picked up for me at JobLot - $1.50. This is the game Claude called AUCTION RACE on 10/2/
Played three-hand POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER with Claude and Issy. It ran fairly long. Then 4-hand with Richie joining us. This went fast
