17 WEDNESDAY * OCTOBER 1973
290TH DAY * 75 DAYS TO COME
Met Claude at Metroplitan Book Store. (After dropping off 2 copies
of PATTON with Al Nofi to give to Dave Isby and Bob Champer.)
Claude forgot his ECLIPSE model in his subway booth.
While Claude went to pick up his model I went to "Gamut of
Games". Phil had just sent his gambling game - PRIX to D.D.I.
for consideration. He still had a copy of his rules so I
had him run off repros for me.
Now that Djoli is out of the management of "Gamut of Games"
Phil will be getting busy preparing games to sell. Reissue will be
get first refusal rights but after that he will try to set
up other contacts to sell to other companies. He will get a salary
from "Gamut of Games" and also a royalty - max. 33 1/3% of
that given for the game.
I will fit in with "Gamut" also as a supplier of games.
I pointed out that with Hoi Polloi and "Gamut" that was fine,
but with D.D.I. and other companies my moral commitment
to Felicia took precedence. He suggested that he might get
specific assignments for a game. In this case and with
an advance fee, even if nominal, I would be able to take the
assignment.
