<u>Ruth Shaller</u> is in town, but very busy. She said that she sent me<br>
a copy of the <u>HOLIDAY</u> writeup in ''<u>THE CANADIAN RECORD</u>'' (her<br>
home town newspaper in Texas).<br>
Felicia had a meeting with <u>Ennio Racinelli</u>, D.D.I. Among other<br>
things, he said that a meeting he had with <u>Bob Reiss</u> and<br>
others last Friday he saw a lot of my games. Felicia didn't<br>
know what he was talking about until he mentioned "Gamut of<br>
Games", and she was annoyed. I told her that I had said that<br>
I was working with "Gamut of Games". Ennio said that one<br>
of my games was popular, but she couldn't remember the<br>
name. I mentioned <u>THE WORM TURNS</u>, <u>TOGETHERNESS</u>,<br>
<u>EVEN WORSE</u>, and finally <u>GROOVE</u> which she said might be<br>
the one.<br>
 
Called <u>Nancy Allen</u> (see 10/5) and changed date to 10/16 at 3:00.<br>
 
Called <u>Phil Orbanes</u> and he called back. (Took notes but lost<br>
them tomorrow.) Told him of Felicia's call. He was at the<br>
meeting last Friday. <u>THE WORM TURNS</u> - don't think they<br>
can produce a 45[degree] cut - dead. <u>TANGLEWORD</u> - looks too much<br>
like the plastic puzzle - dead. <u>TOGETHERNESS</u> - was popular - <br>
answer soon. <u>SKYSCRAPERS</u>, altho Mag-Nif's <u>TORUS</u> is<br>
not doing well it will be considered in about six months.<br>
<u>EVEN WORSE</u> and <u>GROOVE</u> will also be considered then. The<br>
p & p games were not discussed on Friday, but another<br>
batch will definitely be put out.<br>
D.D.I will be taken over by National Paragon, but will keep<br>
their present reps (like <u>Herb Roth</u>) and Reiss Associates<br>
will cooperate with them. "Gamut of Games" will be<br>
submitting games to D.D.I. I said that presents a problem<br>
because of Felicia's prior contact with D.D.I. We'll get <br>
together next Tuesday and discuss this as well as the directions <br>
to take with Hoi Polloi. etc.<br>
