she did for the American Airlines inflight magazine was ever
printed. She did get paid. (see 3/31/72 and 6/8/72). Her game
WORLD TRAVEL was rejected by Urban Systems and D.D.I. Too expensive
to manufacture and not that much interest in travel games.
She may be doing a pc. [piece] for the DAILY NEWS on games. If she gets
the go ahead she'll contact me for an interview.
Milt Schulman, from TOY & HOBBY WORLD mentioned that he had a copy
of AGOG - talked a little before dinner.
After dinner spoke to Randy Barton, who is now president of
Parker. He said that they have cleaned up the archives and put
them in a much better order. He invited me to come to look at
them again. I invited him to come to look at my collection
and he said he would, sometimes. I said that I'd go to
Salem - and I meant it.
I mentioned the museum that Andrea Donahue spoke about. (see 6/22). He said
that it is still being considered, but it will be a very expensive
undertaking. We both agreed that a game museum would be of more
interest than a lot of other museums that have been set up. Randy
mentioned that a soup company had set up a soup toureen museum. I
said that I would like to be called on in the setting up of the
museum. He said I certainly would, if they do do it.
Marvin Kaye joined us. He mentioned a stroke that Marvin
Glass had had. Randy said that it was very serious, but
Glass was recuperating. Kaye said that he had finally met
Glass during Toy Fair. He thought then that Glass was on the way
to a stroke - burning the candle at both ends. Randy invited
Kaye to visit Salem also. Maybe we'll go together next spring.
BB told me that Ira Mothner called during the day. He didn't
find AGOG at Brentanos. He'll call me tomorrow.
