29 Friday - June 1973
St. Peter and St. Paul Apostles - Sacred Heart - 180th Day - 185th Days to Come
Rcd. [received] a card from Don Laycock in answer to my letter. He
is not coming to the U.S. this trip. He has tried unsuccessfully
to submit something to G & P.
Rcd. TOYS - June '73. Had large ad for Lakeside's PERFECTION.
There was a notice from the P.O. (which came earlier in the week) that there was a register package. Went there and it was from Haar Hoolim with rules for the following games: - STACK UP, BITSBITSBITS, Q-SETS, MATTIX, LET ME THINK, SPELLBOUND, TAKE-ALL, BRAINY BLOCKS, BARRICADE (2 versions) and STOP'M (which is another version of BARRICADE).
Rcd. a call from James Trager. Told him that I probably wouldn't
get a chance to work on BAWDY BESS until the fall, and
that I'd certainly return it if he wants me to. He said he'd
rather wait. Very pleasant.
Michael Dummett called. He has been in N.Y. lecturing at
the Rockerfeller Institute for 3 months, but has been very
busy. He is going back to England next Tuesday. Arranged
for him to come for supper Sunday, but he'll check in the
morning first.
Called Claude. Told him about OUT OF LINE. Date next week.
Call from Al Richter. Postponed date tomorrow to 7/21.

each of their opponent's "objectives," but can consult on
the guess. The bonus for being correct is as shown above.

THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE - A children's game where players
move around the board by dice throw and collect the ingredients
for casting spells on opponents. When they get enough
the change the opponent into different forms (there are
a number of different shapes in each color). Players can
also use spell ingredients to get rid of their own spells,
and need about half as much. Score for points for casting
the spell and also more points each time the opponent
passes a certain space under the spell.
