Started cutting out a new board for HIT THE JACKPOT.
(cont. from 6/5) [6/7]
The people with THE WATERGATE CAPER had a copy of the card game
THE WATERGATE SCANDAL and I looked at it. The cards are of
2 types: "charaters - various people in the case with a number of
each one"; "penalties" - various point values for various law infractions.
Players have hands of cards. Players in turn have the right of choosing
one of the cards from his hand and announcing the character.
The others then take a card of the same character from their
hands and place it face down, or they may bluff. The leader,
who may tell the truth about his card or not as he wishes, then
must decide who - if anyone - is bluffing. If a bluffer is
caught he must take a penalty card. If the leader accuses
a player falsely, the leader must take a penelty card. There are 2 (I
believe) wild cards. If a player bluffs with one of these and
is caught, his penalty is doubled. If he gets away with it,
the leader must draw a penalty card and double it. Cards
as used are placed aside until the whole deck is used, when
it is shuffled and reused. Play until all players (I think) reach
a certain number of points. Or possibly till one readies a set
number and then low points wins.
