3 THURSDAY - MAY 1973
123RD DAY - 242 DAYS TO COME

Call from Bob Champer. Told him I still haven't written the rules for PATTON. He'll call me next Thursday. If the artist contacts me about the PATTON boards I will contact Bob and he'll join the meeting.

(cont. from 5/22) [5/22]

DEALER'S CHOICE. The royalties so far are good on SQUARE OFF. Tom promised to call me tonight about the GAME of 5/1, since they were in a rush to go for a meeting at the Hallmark Gallery. All of Alex's things are tied up so Tom won't be submitting anything of his. (He called tomorrow morning instead.) // They went up to Martin Gardner & he sent regard to me.
To Reiss and was talking with Phil Orbanes when Dorothy Shapiro of Brentano's came by. Told her of my FITTING & PROPER and THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS with Springbok and she insisted on going up there to show them to her. She said that she likes dealing with Springbok.
She mentioned John Flagg's SYNTACTICS (see 5/7). He decided to put it out himself and is having it handled by Gameophiles. (Obviously he must have had it ready when he called me.)
To American Greetings just before closing. The salesman suggested that I come back Thursday.

Kathy Brooks called during day and told BB that she couldn't make it here for supper this trip. She suggested taking us out for supper next trip.

Rcd. [received] a letter from N.Y. State Income Tax saying that my letter of 5/12 was rcd. and they are holding up for 30 days.
Rcd. a card from "The Goethe House Library' asking me to return it if I intended to use their library in the future so that they can issue me a library card. (Discarded.)

Felicia called and asked me to stop at Karen Kole's on Thursday and have her call Felicia. She wants to show her a companion item to THE GALAXY GAZER. It was done by Rolla Nordic - who Karen Kole should know.

When with Dorothy Shapiro I mentioned NETRESULTS and she was interested. Promised to bring her the info.

While talking to Phil Orbanes he told me that Felicia had stopped by the "Gamut of Games" booth which they had rented before joining Reiss Assoc [association]. She left a card with Elaine, Phil's secretary, saying "Sid Sackson's games are fine for the present, but I have other clients" or something like that. Phil said the way it came across was not knocking me, but just trying to do some business.
