Downtown for meeting with <u>Bob Gellman</u> and Rick Lewis. Figured<br>
out how to prepare the <u>PATTON</u> and <u>HOLIDAY</u> material for<br>
the F.A.O. Schwartz catalog. Rick will take care of that first<br>
and then will work on the three board for the actual game.<br>
Once he has them blocked out he will contact me and we'll<br>
get together for me to look at them. We exchanged cards.<br>
<br>When Rick left Bob & I went over the copy on the two<br>
games. Also the equipment list for inclusion in the<br>
F.A.O. catalog.<br>
Bob liked the way I prepared the Sicily map and the<br>
"movement" cards. I told him that I could do the illustrations<br>
for the <u>PATTON</u> rules in ink so that they could<br>
be reproduced directly. In return I asked for a dozen<br>
copies of <u>HOLIDAY</u> and a dozen of <u>PATTON</u>. Its a deal.<br>
<br>I brought it up, and he will prepare a contract for <u>PATTON</u>.<br>
His meeting with <u>Reiss</u> last Monday was pleasant, but<br>
Reiss declined to handle <u>PATTON</u>, <u>HOLIDAY</u>, and <u>MOVIE MOGULS</u>.<br>
He thinks they are good games but he doesn't think the<br>
size of the box is right for sale in stationery departments. Space<br>
on the ground floor of the department stores is counted at<br>
a much higher rate than the upper floors, where toy departments<br>
are located. So they want small boxes. Bob said that<br>
Brentano's tells him his size is just right.<br>


To M.B. and then upstairs to Lowe where <u>Mickie Mackay</u> now has<br>
her office. Spoke to her awhile and took copies of <u>MANHUNT</u>, <br>
<u>SUPER SPY</u> and <u>TRIPLE YAHTZEE</u>. Also took glossies of the first <br>
two and she will have one sent for the last. The list price of<br>
<u>MANHUNT</u> is "under $7.00," <u>TIPLE YAHTZEE</u> "under $3.50."<br>
<br>To <u>Felicia</u>. Told her that <u>Dick Harris</u> hadn't seen <u>CONTRACT</u>.<br>
She rcd. [received] a letter from <u>Bill Dohrmann</u> that <u>PSYCHOLOGICAL BLOCKS</u> was<br>
being returned. It was good, but they have something "stronger."<br>
<br>Told Felicia that I was coming along on <u>3D BOXES</u> and that I would<br>
probably call her at the end of the week.<br>
To Ain Plastics and found 11 1/8" red rods to use for <u>3D BOXES</u><br>
to use instead of the orange I bought before.<br>
At the Berdicks got another copy of the ''<u>TIMES</u>'' article on games<br>
of 4/8.<br>
Called <u>Earl</u> and arranged to pick him up tomorrow.<br>
