Rcd. the contact prints (8 sheets) of the Xerox
show and a note from Mary McKee telling me how
to order prints.
Rcd. a letter from Eric Nielsen. He is very excited over
a variation of Conway's LIFE he calls ARROW LIFE. He
would like me to contact Martin Gardner about
it. It is interesting and I will. Also mentioned
ISOLATION, HORSE, and EUCLID.
Made new equipment for THE BRAIN GAME, changing the
top number from 17 to 25.
Sent a short letter to Larry Blandin telling him that I sent
AGOG to himand that I'd like info on the
INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW. BB typed this and also the
two letters to Robert Johnson and Milded Mikkanen that
I wrote on 6/29.
At the Laurence's played THE BRAIN GAME 3 times.
1) 4 hand with Phil, Elliot, and Amy. Played till 6 companies
were completed. Dealt out 6 company cards and removed the
other 3 from the game.
2) 2 hand with Phil. Dealt out 5 company cards, but it would
have been better with 6. For 2-hand game a llowed trading
when the markers are on adjacent spaces - across the track -
as well as on the same space. It played quite well for a
2 hand game.
3) 4 hand with Phil, Annette, and BB. Dealt out 7 companies.
Phil gave me an ad sheet for MANAGEGAME that he rcd.
thru the ASCE. (Filed in '72 Misc.).

me a suggestion that I write up the various CHESS
and game clubs in New York. I said that the idea belonged to him.
Possibly we'll collaborate.
Started thinking of ideas for 2-hand play in
THE GENTLE ART OF POLITICS. Player throwing the
"Deal" can either buy out the other's support or
force him to buy out the thrower's support. Cost
$2,000 for each step short of control for A cards;
$3,000 for B; $4,000 for C. (To be tested.)
Got material together to take to Leonard Willett tomorrow.
