We played a new <u>GAME</u> using the <u>BYWORD</u> deck (see 9/3).  <br>
The 36 yellow, white, and red cards are layed out face up.  <br>
Players in turn take any two cards they wish, except that  <br>
they cannot have more white cards than yellow, or more red than  <br>
white. Then 6 cards are turned from the green deck. The matching  <br>
cards, both on the layout and in the player's possession, are  <br>
turned face down.If both of a player's cards are turned  <br>
down, he is out of this round and also the next. Remaining  <br>
players take two more cards, followed by a second six from  <br>
the green deck. Then another two cards by each player and a  <br>
final six cards from the green deck. (When 2 play, each  <br>
player picks 3 cards each turn. When 4 play, each picks 2.)  <br>
Players score 1 point for each face up yellow cards, 2 points  <br>
for each face up white card, and 4 points for each red card.  <br>
Additionally, the total is multiplied by the number of yellow  <br>
cards. With no yellow cards each other card is worth 1 point.  <br>
The game is played in three "columns". 3 rounds are recorded  <br>
in each column. Only the player with the highest total for a  <br>
column scores in final tabulation. (Ties?) If the player  <br>
with the highest total scores in two rounds, he doubles his  <br>
score. Triple if in three rounds. Incidentally, in a round <s>a player</s>  <br>
only the player scoring the highest amount enters  <br>
his score in the column. (Ties?)  <br>
We also played <u>FOLLY</u>. Players in turn are given a setup made  <br>
by cutting the cards <s>and</s> (<u>HIGH DECK</u>) and then dealing out  <br>
the 32 cards and then removing all except the cut house.  <br>
The remaining deck is cut secretly. The player chooses cards  <br>
until he picks the card matching that cut. He scores 1 point  <br>
for each card picked before matching - with a maximum of 7.  <br>
A player has the chance to better the preceeding player  <br>
at least once. Thus the first player always has a second  <br>
chance if he is topped. In case of a 7, a second 7 tops it.  <br>
Scoring is in columns similar to the preceeding.  <br>
