TUESDAY 19 OCTOBER 1971
292nd day - 73 days to come
Rcd. 2 answers to the SLEUTH problem. 1, a G. 1. in Germany
asked about ordering games directly from 3M.
Rcd. an EDMUND Scientific Catalog - adressed to Dana. Looked
thru it and so there was nothing new in games.
Wrote the new rules for SPELLBINDER. Repackaged the model
using the same box. Included the one-minute timer from the
original TUF game.
PLANES came back from 3M. 2 pcs. were missing. Also there was
some internal breaking in the box.
Jim Dunnigan called. Steve Patrick will be here next Monday
but won't have his car. I'll meet him at the Skunk Works
and Jim will take us both to supper.
Jim will have a letter to Pierre Berloquin ready for me to o.k.
I asked Jim if he knew how to get Games Research to send a
copy of DIPLOMACY to Pierre. He didn't know. But he will
get Tom Shaw to send him ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR II.
I told Jim I'd probably include it in my BOOK WORLD piece.
He will give me an advance copy of the S & T review for
guidance.
I told Jim not to spend the money sending me copies of
the TSG's. I can pick them up when I come in. He
has me on a list of V.I.P.'s to automatically get them,
but will take me off.
Jim will check with Phil about getting me a copy of
THE NEXT PRESIDENT.
Tried to call Bob Abbott to thank him for MONEYSWORTH. No answer.
Earl Perel called to say that his friend Issy couldn't make it
tomorrow. It's still on, however.

SUPER-TAC-TOE, FOUR-TAC-TOE, DOMINIQUE-TYAC-TOE. She
said that had never sold one of them. She gave me a repro
