Saw a game <u>INTER BISS</u>. Was told that it was like <u>MONOPOLY</u>.  <br>
Seemed to be based on a travel motif. There were four separate  <br>
tracks each, I was told, belonging to a different player.
From London called <u>Michael Dummett</u>. Made a date to go  <br>
to Oxford Sunday to visit him.  <br>
Tried to call <u>Mr. Bloncourt</u> (see 9/23). No answer.

At the British Museum, in the ancient display, saw a game  <br>
called <u>MEHAN</u> - c. 2800 B.C. - It was made  <br>
of stone with a checkered radial pattern.  <br>
The checkering was made with alternate  <br>
raised and lowered portions. In the center was  <br>
a hole. No details given concerning  <br>
the play.

He had an extra copy of a thin Dutch book -  <br>
''<u>KAARTSPELLEN VOOR TWEE, DRIE OF MIER PERSONEN</u>'' which he gave me.  <br>
Michael told me that a publishing firm he knws is interested in  <br>
a British edition of <u>AGOG</u>. I'll try to call them tomorrow  <br>
morning.  <br>

The publisher is a fairly small one, but Michael thinks they  <br>
are ambitious and will be growing.
