It will be good for their new family game format. But this
will not be decided
will not be decided one way or the other until some time in '72.
In the meantime Jim will gamble that the game will still
be available if they decide to go will the new packaging. If
they decide not to they won't lose the binder money and the
inventor won't lose the opportunity to try and place it elsewhere.
The inventor shouldn't be disappointed. As his first game
this shows considerable talent.
Felicia rcd. the 2nd quarter report on BALI. It is a little better
than last year.
The checks for RED LETTER arrived. She is mailing mine to me.
I asked her about Hasbro and she is still working on setting
up an appointment. I told her about RECONSTRUCTION (not by
name) and the possible conflict with Claude's DEDUCTION. Maybe
I'll show it to Hasbro.

The ''Post'' had a puzzle from a book ''THE LONELY MONK AND OTHER PUZZLES''
by "Ivan Morris'' (Little, Brown, $4.95).
Q: Mrs. Tabako has 50 natural pearls, 50 cultured pearls, and two
Ming jars. If she uses all the pearls, how should she distribute them
in the two jars in such a way that when Mr. Tabako enters the
room and picks one pearl out of either jar at random he will have the
best possible chance of picking a cultured pearl? What is the
distribution and what are his chances?
A: She puts one cultured pearl in jar A and all the other pearls in
jar B. Then the chances of picking a cultured pearl from jar B are 99/99
and the chances of picking one from jar B are 49/99.
cumulatively the chances of picking a cultured pearl are the average
[??] of these two figures, viz. 74 to 25.

2nd call from Felicia. She contacted Dan Ferrone. He agrees
that Sun Line Cruises should pay if they want me to do a game
for them. In the meantime I'm to send him a copy of
AGOG, for his presentation.
The checks for RED LETTER came. She's mailing mine.
Al Richter sent his regards and told her he owes me a call.
I said that I hadn't sent the letter on RACE THRU SPACE GAMES
yet. She wrote to Virginia Russell saying that I sent it. Told
her that I'd send it immediately.
Virginia is interested in my working on improving the game.
Told Felicia I'd want at least $15 an hour, and Felicia
agreed.
Felicia doesn't think much of the game and thinks that
$10 for it is ridiculous. She heard of people asking for their
money back.
