WEDNESDAY 14 JULY 1971
195th day - 170 days to come

From S & T office rcd. a description of a clessroom game,
DANGEROUS PARALLELS, with notes from Al Nofi and Jim Dunnigan.
Also enclosed a Press Card expiring 1/1/72. (I have one already.)

Called Mickey Mackay. I drop by there tomorrow and pick up copies
of STRATEGY POKER, CHECKERED GAME OF LIFE & STAY ALIVE. So far she only has prototypes of the new adult line, without rules.
When she gets copies she will see that I get them.
A woman who publishes a small, but large circulation, family
magazine approached Mickey about someone to write on games.
Mickey gave her my number and maybe I'll hear from her. However
she is primarily interested in children's games.
Mickey and I will discuss my column when we get together.

Spent a lot of time on a letter to Jim Goldsberry about
OPEN BRIDGE. But BB didn't like it at all. Rewrote most of it
and then BB approved.

Called Herb Siegel. Thanked him for our visit. Told him that
I'd be delayed in getting the SALTA rules to him since I'll
have to translate them from German. He's in no hurry.
He sent out the photocopies I wanted yesterday, except
the catalog pages. He'll get those next week.
I asked him for the scoring values on the pieces for
SOCIAL BROWNIES. He'll copy them for me.
