Rcd. an invoice from Urban Systems, dated 4/28/71, that
<u>ECOLOGY</u>, <u>POPULATION</u>, and <u>WOMEN'S LIB</u> were being
shipped. | |||
The listing of games included <u>ECOLOGY CARD GAME</u>, which
I haven't seen yet. | |||
Sent a registered letter to myself with the <u>PLANES</u> rules.
Sent <u>Michael Dummett</u> reproductions from the folloiwng
books:- <u>''JUEGOS DE BARAJA''</u>, <u>''HET KAARTSPEL''</u>, <u>''TOUS LES JEUX DE CARTES''</u>
(par Luc Mégret), <u>''REVOLE DE IOCARE E PAVARE LO MEDIATORE E TRESSETTE''</u>
<u>''CO NA JUOCO D'O SCOPONE''</u>, & my father's translations from
<u>''KÁRTYA-KÉZIKÖNYA''</u> (which I spend a few hours darkening
some of the writing in the repros).
Rcd. <u>''PANZERFAUST''</u> (May '71-#44). Entire issue devoted to a game by
Chuck Lane - <u>AFRIKA KORPS II</u>. A second part to this game will be
published in a coming issue. The entire game can be purchased from
them for $2.50. | |||
<u>Claude</u> called to get the layout of the cards for his game of
<u>DEDUCTION</u>. Found it in the 1966 diary and gave it to Claude over the
phone. He needed it because <u>Felicia</u> called him to say that Hall-
mark notified her that family-type board games will not be out for
at least three years. Since they don't want to pay any more
money to hold them - they are giving Felicia the right to take back
<u>DEDUCTION</u> (and <u>BAFFLE</u>). Felicia asked Claude what he wanted to
do, and they decided to leave it with Hallmark and then take another
model around to other manufacturers, such as Stancraft.
Claude said that puzzles were the first on the list, Felicia told
him, and it is too bad that <u>DEDUCTION</u> can't be played by one.
I can up with the idea of having a container with 30 windows,
representing the 30 cards in the
game. A card is inserted in the container
with true or false behind each window,
representing a particular set up. The
player can open any window he wants
to get info, except that he must open
the amount (5-1-2-2) shown in each
section before he can go on to a
second set, and then a third. A set
of cards can be sold with the machine.
Then refills can be sold separately.
Claude liked the idea and said "I'll
have to give you 90%. I said that we'd discuss that once he
sells it. | |||
<u>Claude</u> is going to show <u>Felicia</u> some of his action <u>GAME</u> ideas
next Thursday. I told him to be sure to tell her which ones he had
shown to <u>Jules Cooper</u>, since she is going to be showing things to
Ideal. | |||
