THURSDAY 15 APRIL 1971
105th day - 260 days to come
Rcd. a letter from S.K. Howard (to whom I owe a letter for
almost a year). He sent me a copy of THE SOCIETY GAME
which someone sent him, out of PSYCHOLOGY TODAY magazine
(which month?) He didn't like the game.
He is glad I reviewed CARAPACE, thinking it one
of the best games in a long time.
He is glad I recommended A GUIDE TO FAIRY CHESS to him.
Rcd. a letter from Tom Atwater. He sent the AIRLINE
and TRANSFORMATION contracts to Mary Hilt the same
day he rcd. them. He is calling her (4/13)
and will let me know if there are any difficulties.
He is still waiting for the final rules for Alex' game with
Entex. THE !@#c&*! GAME. He doesn't think, however, that
gaps in a line are permitted.
He sent me the rules for TIC - TAC - TOTAL, AZTEC
previously called UP & DOWN, and SKULL ISLAND. Also
a three-D TIC - TAC - TOE by Stewart Coffin the simply uses
28 cubes - no platform. So far the GAME is unnamed.
Felicia called. (Sue's father died suddenly and Felicia has been
helping out.
Someone (who?) at Hallmark told her last Thursday that they
realized that it wasn't fair to hold up so many games for
so long. On the 9th they were supposed to have a long meeting
to determine which games they will return.
They will be sending contracts for TOTALLY and DUEL.
TROMINO GO is being returned. No word on LIVE WIRE.
Felicia has been trying to get $500 as a closing fee. They
said "no" on that but she thinks they may up the $250 somewhat.
