SUNDAY 25 JANUARY Septuagesima--Conversion of St. Paul (Transferred to Jan. 26) 1970 25th day - 340 days to come
Wrote letters to F. Daniel, Paul Greenough, NAMO (SENSITIVITY, ODD PIECES, etc.)
Called John Anderson (see 1/23). When I go back to work I will contact him and he'll come over, meeting in city and riding up together.

them to me if I was willing to take the time to look over them. EXECUTIVE DECISION is in the final stages of costing and will be published as soon as possible- although he doesn't know exactly when it will be (and we still haven't rcd. a contract). They will skip the test marketing and will go national at once. Bill thinks that the name alone will insure success. I said that I had picked a good one and he thought it had been his idea. We certainly didn't argue a- bout it, each admitting that we didn't remember exactly what had happened. They are using a chalk board, similar to the one in STOCKS AND BONDS to replace a good deal of the equip- ment. Showed them PE-LING and they didn't care too much for it, too much like others in the line. Jim did like the idea of SEARCH and wants me to send it in. They prob- ably won't have a chance to get to it for a few months but the sooner it gets there the sooner it will be on their waiting list. I brought up the matter of the copies of MONAD and VENTURE that Bill had promised. They will send them, also copies of SUM-UP and OCTRIX and (I think) TRYCE since there have been changes in the rules.
Called Tom Atwater's hotel room and got Alex. Tom is sick at Con- cord. Alex hung up abruptly as he was expecting a visitor.
> To Statler Hilton Hotel <------
Saw Al Samuels at Aco. They had partially completed samples of two new games:- CHARGE an abstract war game - he said he'd send me it when it was ready. (cont. on 1/24)
