Called Diane Jaust. Her messenger wasn't able to find a copy of NEWSDAY. She'll try again. I told her I'd send 20¢ for it, and did.
Had her transfer me to Fabio. Away till after New Year Year's. Told Fay I had a letter from Alex Randolph and asked Fabio to call me when he got back.
Felicia called. Impact is thinking of new terms based on a percentage of the profits. Details to be worked out there at lunch. Returned THE SIGNS ARE 12.
Met Lee Mintz and looked at his game QUEST. It was interesting, tho it had the complexity that beginners used very often put in their games. He is working on a 2-hand strategy GAME played on a different type of board. He is very pleasant and gave me a copy of the rules and the board. Later I remember that QUEST has the registered name of a game put out by Lakeside some years ago. I'll have to tell Felicia.
Called Charles Wibel of GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB - N.J.. He will send me the rules for QUADS with the more challenging play. Will send it tonight so I should get it by Saturday, I hope. He won't be ready to advertise in the next edition of S&T so there is no hurry to get the rate schedule to him.
Jim Dunnigan sent me a number of rate schedules for S&T.
Rcd. a card from an X'Mas card from Jerry D'Arcey. No message.
Called Judy Kornblum (see 12/20). She really didn't have anything to tell me. She hasn't seen AGOG. But she is sure that others in the school system have seen & reviewed it. She is a librarian at a local school. They are sent books books to review by the central bureau and never know what they'll be getting.
Dale went to the address listed in the ad (see 12/29) but there were was not sign of the company there . Sent away for the rules.
Preparing an order for the following 5 games from Hamley's but didn't actually send it yet: BLAST-OFF, DECIMAL SHOPPING, WHAT AM I BID?, SHERLOCK HOLMES, MOON PROBE.
Had an idea for a moon GAME for Impact, possible
