231st day - 134 days to come

Felicia called. THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS came back.
M.B. was in yesterday, unfortunately. In any case she doesn't think they would be interested. She suggested trying X since she hears that Springbok is doing fabulously well with their puzzles.
Longo returned BLOCK BUSTER. The test panel said that the part about putting together letters from sections only dis- tracted from the primary objective of forming words. Sid Blazer wasn't too disappointed since he is already working on some more ideas.
She had a call from someone at PLAYBOY. They had a game called REVEAL, a dirty MONOPOLY, which they wanted her to handle. She discouraged them.

Arthur called to get my address, to send me the rules to the new POWER.

that was unfair to him. We agree on 75% for him and 25% for me.
Dave Langhridge [Langridge?] now seems to be in charge of development. He told Jerry that Hank Simmons was ready to return INSTANT INSANITY but he, Dave, told him to think about it for a while.
Dave told Jerry that the way to sell a game was to submit a model that looks like a finished product (as Marvin Glass and the other big boys do). Jerry says that from now on he will do this even if it means spending considerably on the models.
Dave told Jerry it was difficult to know if a name has been used before. Jerry suggested that he call me. Dave said that he might. He definitely remembered me (ed Parker, who I never met, didn't) and seemed well disposed to me.
POWER - This, Jerry says, is a party game which has been quite popular in California for some time (not the Amberstones' game). Each player in turn can ask one question of any player he chooses (one on a turn). That player must answer completely honestly. (Several of Jerry's friends have had divorces due to this game.)
PLAYTHINGS - Jerry will be written up in a 1000 word article in the November issue. (Probably then.)
Richard Moon. I asked Jerry if his column was still running in the San Mateo Times. Jerry said it was. He volunteered to go talk to Moon for me and to send me repros of his columns.
I asked Jerry to check with Frank Thybault what happened when he contacted THE ARITHMETIC TEACTHER about BAZAAR.
