MONDAY 29 JULY 1968
211th day - 155 days to come

Called Claude and asked him to pick up BATTA HAI and
PEANUTS for me. (Looked at the card on the latter yesterday.)

Rimski didn't have time to translate the Polish columns
for me.

Finished a letter to Lech Pijanowski and BB typed it.

Tried a little of a card-word game - working name POOL WORD.
The 108 cards are divided into 4 sets of 27 different colors.
Each card has two letters. The deck is
shuffled and 16 cards are put in a 4 x 4 grid in the
center. Players in turn move one card from the grid
to a "pool" on one of the 4 edges. Must be adjacent
to the edge with no intervening cards.

[Diagram of a 4 x 4 grid of cards with arrows attached to two at the top right of the array pointing outward.]

In the "pools" players try to form words.
