Fabio Coen called. His father died and Sylvana's father was sick and she had to visit him in Italy. He invited BB and me to supper at a restaurant on 3/7. I suggested supper at our house but he insisted. [cross out] We will discuss my book on games.

Went to Childcraft at 23rd St. Bought a large pegboard and a small one and boxes of pegs for each. Will use the small one for INTERPLAY and will cut the large one into pcs. for ODD OR EVEN and TEMPO.

Theron Raines, Bob Abel's agent called. I'll go to his clients office Thursday to see WORD CHECKERS.

Thought of using my MANIPULATION board for a game similar to OPPORTUNITY (see 1/31). The "Manipulation" board is a quadrille board with some of the lines between spaces darkened so that they cannot be passed. Players markers move one space at a time and players can choose direction except that they may not return to the space just left. The spaces will have different colors. In another area will be a series of "jackpots", one for each color. Each time a player enters a space he chips to the "jackpot" of that color, unless it is ripe in which case he collects. (Rough idea.)
