Alice called. Letter from X reporting on the sales of all the
game submitted by I-S.
They are playtesting : - RED LETTER, CAPTURE THE CARGO, FORMATION,
PERCEPTION.
The following are scheduled for their initial line - SHAPE AND SHATTER,
COLOR CONFUSION, TRIPLE CROSS, STACK STICKS, DEDUCTION.
The following are being returned : - WHOZAT? (Too indefinite.)
PITFALL (Like it, but don't want to go into such elaborate product at
present. May want to look at it again but don't feel it is fair to
hold it (!)). PARTY POLITICS (Started off interesting, but got
dull towards the end. Also it is too seasonal in interest.) [I reminded
Alice that we had agreed not to send it because of NOMINATION,
she said she was sorry.]
They are still considering IMAGE and FUN-ALYSIS (a hand-
writing analysis passtime rather than a game.)
There was no mention of CINEMA or NOMINATION. Alice is going to
write saying she assumes that they just forgot to mention them as
being in the initial line.
In the letter Arnold said that they are waiting for the go-ahead from
the top to start production. In the meantime they keep perfecting the
games. They, too, hope that it will start this year.
After work brought INFINITE PLANE to Alice. Also brought her her share
of the 3M 4th quarter royalty. We decided to <s>try</s> try TAKE A NUMBER
on Champion Games. I'll try to finish it this coming weekend.

At home looked @ ON SETS and TUE.

Thinking of working up a set of deductive type GAMEs with the Wff'N'Proof
company in mind. If CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN folds, it will
be a good starting point.
