Friday 27 November 1964
332nd day - 34 days to come
With Claude, Anne & BB played Q.E.D. Used 3 piles
of 5 cards each. Players could "cash in" after shaking
or trading. Could go above 10 chips provided you "cash
in" to reduce to ten or below in the same turn. If
you have ten chips you may not shake unless you already
have a combination to "cash in". If two cards are
cashed in both are determined by the number of remaining
chips. If two are [word crossed out] "cashed in" with no remainder
they increase one compartment.
Played 3 games, at Claude's request. BB won all 3.
The kids played FORMULA 1 and FAST FREIGHT.
In playing Q.E.D. first tried each player having a
pile to get rid of, but allowing scoring on other player's
top card. Stopped soon as it was almost completely non-
competitive.
To Library annex. Went thru 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933 &
1934. Very few worth ordering. Copied numbers for
1935 & 1936.
