Wednesday 7 October 1964 281st day - 85 days to come

Alice told me of Look Magazine (Oct. 20) with my picture and brief mention of my name. Very disappointing.

To Alice's. Picked up my presentation copies of POTENTIAL & SPECTRUM.

Alice had 5 games from a Florida outfit called Bishop games.

  • RODEO CHAMP: - Children's game for any number. Basically it consists of a path with plain spaces and occasional point score, in ascending numbers up to a maximum of 100. Move by a dial (I think) continue until land on a point which is your score for the event. If go to the end without landing score 100 plus a bonus given on a card you drew at the be-ginning of the event.
  • MARRY-GO-ROUND: - For young girls. Concentric paths leading to the center space which represents marriage.
  • HI-PHILATELY: - I have a copy put out by Knight games (subsequently taken over by Bishop.)
  • LIGHT OUT: - Took home to study.
  • HI-COMMAND: - Took home to study.

Bob Abbott sent me a winning strategy for HOLD THAT LINE played on a square setup-but not on a rectangular.

Alice also gave me a new version of HIGH-BID to study.
