FRIDAY 12 JUNE 1964 164th day - 202 days to come

Called I/S & spoke to Felicia. She mentioned a strategy game by the inventor of PORT OF CALL which they are sending to 3M. Alice knows more about it and I'm to call her Monday.

(cont. from 6/13) any, they have earned. All these side trails have a liberal sprinkling of red spaces (bad day). When players reach the west coast they buy the most expensive ranch they can with the money they have. If they do not have enough money for any ranch they take a free "homestead." The player with the most expensive ranch is the winner. If all players take homestead, the first one wins. Since there is only one ranch of each price, if two players have about the same amount of money, the first to arrive will be able to buy the ranch that each can afford. See picture in 1964 Ad clips.

HIGH SOCIETY: Move along on a path at the outside of the board trying to land on spaces that will will give you 4 different kinds of "Status." You must get these & some other qualifications & then ob- tain admission to "the club" by proper dice throws in a path towards the center of the board. Before you have the 4 "statuses" players can get and use cards that make you lose one of them. Once you have the 4 none can be taken from you. You also get additional advantages; such as an extra turn for throw of a double, double money bonuses, etc. Rough idea of a pretty poor game. (Put out by House of James - Ohio.)
