Filed article from Nov. Pop. Sci. in Misc. Games folder. Put game room into order somewhat.

Spoke to Arthur. He has a new GAME OF CHANGES (II) 4 play. Each dealt 8 cards. Starting player places any card on table. Next player must place a card either next in sequence or in major-minor or visa-versa relationship. Play continues, each player matching in a similar way. If two or more edges are joined each must have a legitimate match. Houses have no bearing. The play is limited to a 6 x 6 square with the Four corners missing and once this is defined no card may be played outside the limits. (At first the layout was 4 x8 but then he changed it.) Players play as long as they can. If they can't they pass. First to play out his cards wins. Played it with Claude, Anne & Dana (at our house). Not very exciting.

Arthur also told me of the following drastic changes in EGO HIGH. The cards are dealt out randomly, 8 to each player. The first player by the color of the card he plays determines the color his team will use. The first card is also the top, high scoring side of the layour. Players in turn must play minors as long as they have them. If out of minors, a player may switch allowable cards instead of laying out a minor. This continues until all minors are played. After this a player may either swit play a major directly on top of its corresponding minor, or switch. An uncovered card can never be switched with a covered one. As soon as one player has played his last card, switching ends and other players simply place their remaining majors on their minors. Score as previously.
