Monday 20 September 1965
263rd day - 102 days to come
At jury duty reading Murray's A HISTORY OF BOARD-GAMES OTHER
THAN CHESS. On pg. 4-9, game 3.6.2 gave me a GAME IDEA.
Use a larger number of pcs. on a larger board. Object to get a
certain number of lines of 3. A line of 3 cannot be moved. An
opponent may use it as a stepping stone, jumping from one end
to the other. A player may never have more than 3 in a row.
Rcd. a letter from Bill Bentzin of 3M. They want to go along
with their original dates for the trip.
Rcd. a letter from John Goetz of Mattel. He was writing
because of the letter Bob Abbott sent to him. He would like
to me to contact him about submitting games on a royalty
basis or about working as a staff game designer.
Thinking of submitting SIT DOWN AND THINK and DATA to
them.
Claude called. He received an identical letter.
