STOCKS & BONDS
QUINTO
At Korvette's saw STYMIE (MB), tied in, I believe,
with the Bewitched TV program. There are 42 cards.
15 are operation cards, 5 each of +, -, ×. The other
27 are number cards (0, 1, 2, 5, 10). Each player, 2 to
4 play has a playing area consisting of 2 rows of
3 spaces each. Cards are played in these spaces, number
cards in the 1st & 3rd spaces, operational cards in
the 2nd spaces.
Each player has 6 cards and in his turn plays one
card to a playing area, either his own or opponent's.
He then replaces a card from the deck. When a
line of three is complete the 3 cards are placed in
the discard & the player whose area they were
in scores as follows. The sum of the two cards with
a +. The difference between the higher and lower
with a -, regardless of the order in which they are
played (why not allow a deduction from a player's
score?). The product with a ×.
Play to 100 points.
Paul & Jackie Greenough visited us. He showed me a
set of Chinese Chess CHINESE CHESS pcs. and a set
of CHINESE CARDS which he bought in Chinatown. Told
me the location of the store & I'll have to pick up
sets.
We played two games of SIT DOWN AND THINK. Both liked
it and played well. He won the first game. She won
second.
