SATURDAY 15 MAY
Armed Forces Day 1965 135th day - 230 days to come
At Vessey Street bought MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK.
At Gimbel's bought YACHT RACE.
At Gimbel's saw ROLL-A-PAR (Lowe). Golf game played with
5 special dice. They are thrown and read in a
definite order, by color. If a die has a number on
it (which is a distance) it counts as one stroke
and got to the next die. If a die has a hazard (water,
sandtrap) count the number on the face (2, 3) and
go to next die. If die has picture of hole, that
is the number to add to be holed out. If die
has picture of green, that represents landing on green
and last die gives number of putts to hole out.
(Pretty, but probably not completely, accurate.)
In evening played SIT DOWN AND THINK with the Fredericks.
Didn't seem to hold the interest too well, although I
would have liked to play more.
