Thursday 22 April 1965
112th day - 253 days to come
To I/S, Alice there. Gave her model of SIT DOWN AND THINK
and CARRE (which she will send to Whitman in a few
months. She really liked my model of S.D.& T.
She gave me the rules for a game TRIGG.
To Brentanno's. [BRENTANO'S]. Saw GAME OF LOVE. In format it was
a GOOSE GAME. There were certain spaces where
if you landed you shook a die to determine a task,
such as getting someone to kiss you. Move ahead with
success, back with failure. (Rough idea.)
At Korvette's saw : -
TIPIT (Ideal) A balance with 3 arms. Discs of different
colors are play placed at random on the three arms.
A chance device gives the player a color chip he has
to get. If it is not on the top he must move discs from
one arm to either of the others till he can remove one
of the proper color. There is a mast above the arms with a monkey
at the top. Get a penalty for tipping it off. The length of the
mast can be varied to make the game more or less difficult.
PASS THE BUCK (TAG) Just about the same as DEADPAN.
BATTLE OF THE BULGE (A-H). Will probably get this tho it is pretty
much the same as the others.
John Barrow of J. Walter Thompson called. He called Tuesday
& couldn't get thru before he was called away on business. Whitman
wants him to interview me for publicity on FOCUS. Will come
to my office tomorrow.
