WEDNESDAY 17 MARCH
St. Patrick's Day 1965 76th day - 289 days to come
spoke to Arthur. They are trying out GHANA on a 10x10 board, setting
up the pcs. as on the 8x8 board allowing extra spaces
all around for greater maneuvering space.
They are still fooling around with LINES. Latest idea :- players
can place a pc. anywhere they wish on the board except that
once a player has a pc. on a line the opponent may not place
a piece in that line. Small triangles still cannot be formed and
a small diamond scores for neither.
Also tried it out on a square board 11 points by 11 points. A small square
cannot be completed. He says that it makes for some beautiful patterns
but develops a little too quickly.
