Thought of a point scoring system to encourage more
elegant victories in F.O.A.
elegant victories in F.O.A. Score more points for
capturing less of opponent's pieces according to
following table : -

PC Captured --- Score
5-------------------7
6-------------------6
7-------------------5
8-------------------4
9-------------------3
10-----------------2
11-----------------1
Also a victory by depriving the other player of a
move also counts 1 point. (See below.)
Played with Wald and saw that I'd have to change
the scoring for a game ended by a player not being
able to move. Instead the player gets the point
value corresponding to the number of pcs. captured
at the time. With the original rule a losing player
could just scatter his pcs. to cut his loss.
[ARROW FROM BELOW] Wald and Arthur liked it.
First Wald & Arthur played their POWER version with
partial information while I watched. Then Claude & Bob
played while I watched part of it. For rules see large
card file.
Claude and Helen played several games of L.O.A.
Played Bob's GAME IDEA (See 2/5) and also "Board Game" Folder.
Bob, Helen, Claude, & I played. Bob didn't care for it but
it has possibilities.
