Rcd. [received] copy of CARD GAMES FOR THREE, by David Parlett. I am mentioned a few times in connection with ZETEMA.
Rcd. [received] envelope from Loren Dunton with repro [reproduction] of my ELEUSIS article and note that it was nice. Also a few more sheets on KWATRO, etc.

Finished letter to Roland Borghini. Mentioned ANOTHER and returned a copy of agreement, SIDOMINOS, where to send advances, WIN IT YOUR WAY, CAN'T STOP, PE-LING, RUMMY GAME, Electronic Mathematical Games, SAUVEZ VOTRE TETE, JEU DU LABYRINTHE
To P.O. [post office] to mail this. Also sent copy of AGOG to Donald Benge.

Call from Felicia. She got a call from Jim Walsh. PICK YOR POISON has been rejected and Jim will call her again with the reasons. She told him about THE RIGHT WORD and ABOVE AND BEYOND and he said there was still two months to get things in for '79 [1979].
2nd call from Felicia. In his second call Jim said that they rcd. [received] two other games very similar to PICK YOUR POISON and at least one they think is better. We talked about the rumors around (from Frank Thibault, etc.) that M.B. [Milton Bradley] is borrowing ideas. We agreed that I should call and speak to Jim Walsh.
Called just after 5 and spoke to Jim Walsh. He was very pleasant and forthright. He said that one of the GAMES - sent in by Norman Fabricant he was pretty sure - was very similar in appearance to mine, with the same jackpots, but there is more interaction between the players, which is why they prefer it to PICK YOUR POISON. But they are not sure that they are taking it.
Called Felicia to tell about the call. I said that I didn't think they were cheating me and she said that she is sure that Mel Taft would not allow anything to be done to me - he always asks about me when he speaks to her.
Alan Newman, she told me, has a device that "shoots" marbles into the barrel of a "gun" to indicated moves, etc. Then Mattel came out with the same thing. Altho there is no question of Mattel having seen it to steal it, Felicia's lawyer thinks that he might be able to get some money from Mattel as long as Alan can prove he had the idea first. (??)
