April 1978 - Thursday 13
Thomas Jefferson Born 1743 - 103rd day - 262 days to come
Rcd. [received] letter from Roland Borghini with discussions of PE-LING, my RUMMY game, WIN IT YOUR WAY, CAN'T STOP, ANOTHER, and SODOMINOS - with mention of Jean-Jacques Bloch, and Pierre Berloquin; 2 copies of the ANOTHER contract.
With BB for lunch with Jim Dunnigan in a fancy restaurant. Malcolm Watson, the English rep [representative] of S.P.I. (who I met shortly before) joined us. Among other things discussed war games and other games in England & the U.S.
In evening, call from Ron Stadsklev. There is some time before publication of THE AMERICAN DREAM and he'd like me to play it and give my comments. He asked, and I told him that my fee was $20 an hour, including suggestions, but not really creative work. He said that that sounded fine - he'll check with his backers and then call me.
When we returned to S.P.I., I said that I wanted to pick up something in the
stock room. Jim said OBJECTIVE MOSCOW and DESCENT ON CRETE; I said yes and
he went to get them for me - and two copies of S&T #67 that I asked for.
Brad Hessel gave me an envelope (S.P.I.) with ad material on

where they came from.
