their advertising there and he said they might do an ad for the four

At "Statesman's Club" got repros [reproductions] of rules for <u>MATH MAKER</u> (see 12/22/77)
Called about <u>THE OPTION GAME BOARD</u> (see 12/30/77). Answering service
took my number; I said I was a writer.
To see <u>John Stephenson</u> at Games Gallery. He is thinking of closing the
west side store, since the east side is doing much better. B&N [Barnes & Noble] has hurt
them and has killed Brentano's.
<br>I asked if I could get games from him wholesale as he once offered. O.K. -
Since I had done favors for him - but he thought that I of all people should
want to buy games. Told him that reviewers <s>don't</s> get out of the habit of buying.
Bought <u>THE GREAT CANADIAN PIE</u> for $5. Thinking of buying <u>GUERILLA</u> (Philmar)
- also $5 - but had too much to carry.

<u>PARCHEESI</u>. Saw <u>QUADS</u> (by an independent, I don't remember who). Not much
info on the shrink wrapped box. He said it was a 4-hand <u>CHECKERS</u>.
At <u>GAMES</u> Laura (I believe) told me that <u>Bernie DeKoven</u> had sent in a
review of <u>EPAMINONDAS</u>, but they are overloaded with game reviews.
