SEPTEMBER 1977 * THURSDAY 8
251ST DAY * 114 DAYS TO COME
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Calls from Felicia (first interrupted by another call). She has been
in contact with Bob Rudolph (who, she says, acts as a rep for
Mag-Nif but doesn't work for them). He flipped over Denis
Dennis Ladouceur's DAMN IT (How did he come to see it?). He is
going to present it to the president of "Synergistics" today. If
he is interested the pres. will contact Felicia. (I asked, and Felicia
said that Rudolph reps for Synergistics.) Synergistics is interested
[Illegible crossed out] in diversifying since the sales of Velcro [Velcro?] darts is slowing up.
If she does not get contacted by the pres. she thinks she might try to
interest him in THE WINNING TICKET WIN IT YOUR WAY (which I
checked and I have it here). She mentioned the someone at Ideal had
said the WIN IT YOUR WAY was better than MASTERMIND. I said that
it was WIRETAP and possibly this could be shown. Also DARN CLEVER
is a possibility. (Checked later and I have DARN CLEVER. I have
record of her receiving WIRETAP and FREE FORM back from M.B. - and no
record of my taking it from her.)
Bob Rudolph is an expert on puzzles and is putting out a PUZZLE of his
own. Dennis Ladouceur said it reminded him of something that one of
my friend's puzzles that Felicia had some years ago. From Felicia's description,
I believe it was Claude's UPSTAGE (which wasn't a puzzle).
Dennis has two game GAMES that Felicia doesn't think are good enough
to show. But Dennis took them over to Bob Rudolph anyway. One he rejected
at once, but the other - a word game with letter dice - he kept to try and
place (as an agent?)
Bob Rudolph is considering doing LIFE SAVER and two other puzzles of the series.
The mold costs are $100,000, but they are trying to find some country where
it will be cheaper. Felicia is afraid that by dealing with him she wouldn't
be able to deal with Mag-Nif. I told her of Bill Knox' reputation of not
sending back things - and she has heard about it.
Carla Hagen, her friend, has gotten her assignment to do some
P.R. writing for Young & Rubican (where Carla works) on dental floss.

To Felicia. She rcd. letter from Bill Riva in England. He showed
SPIN - Pong and the comment was that it was a good idea but
there was no game to go with it. Felicia said that she has been
trying to tell Alan Newman that he has to work out his games.
Riva was told by one company that they have something like
Alan's AMBUSH - but they might be able to take some of Alan's
ideas to improve their game.
Felicia is sure she will be getting some money on the
"Star War" transfers, but is not sure when. She needs money
now and wants to

Called "Leisure Learning" in Greenwich, Conn. Richard Bendett
not in and spoke to Stephanie Urdang. Asked if I could
come tomorrow to pick up review copies of games. Sure.

Rcd. folder from "Henry George School". Among other courses
is THE CITY GAME - Manager - Stanley Sinclair.
