August 1977 - Sunday 21
Twelfth Sunday of Trinity - 233rd day - 132 days to come

Called Al Richter to tell him of change in time today. Della is feeling better, but still not perfect.

Edith had 4 metal boxes for letters, etc., that she was getting rid of. Drove there and took them. Put them in basement. Later in day put all the work sheets, etc., from BEYOND SOLITAIRE, BEYOND WORDS, and BEYOND COMPETITION in one of them.

Looked at the rules for BELL AND HAMMER, packed some books and rules for my games and to WMCA. On for an hour. Among other things had a chance to describe how I invented ACQUIRE; discussed MANCALA; in answer to a call from Morris Berdick had chance to plug THE WINNING TICKETS and the "Beyond" books; spoke to Claude (without knowing it was him) about "American Gamers Association," "NYGA," AGOG, SHOGI, FOCUS, LINES OF ACTION, Arthur & Wald Amberstone; in answer to other calls POOL CHECKERS (Spook Checkers), NIM. (Dana taped it all.) Plugged "Games Gallery" in answer to a call.
At home called Claude, after BB told me that it was he who called, and discussed the program.

Called Richard Miller to discuss the changes in the patent application. He agreed that the numbers were incorrect. He said that the other changes I wanted were unimportant, but he'd make them if I insisted. Told him that I'd send out the marked up application to him tomorrow. He asked me to mark it in soft pencil.

At Rummage Sale in Mt. Verson bought SHOT CHART BASKETBALL for 25¢. (The decals were put on the wrong chips. At home I connected this.)
