2 Sunday - January 1977
Second Sunday after Christmas - 2nd day - 362 days to come
BB sent for the two books PINBALL: AN ILLUSTRATED HISTORY and THE GREAT EXHIBITION - LONDON 1851 (see 12/31/76) as a birthday present for me. [Actually this was yesterday.]
X'Mas [Christmas] card and memo to Carla Evans. Mentioned BAZAAR, BEYOND SOLITAIRE, Steve Wilson, PROFIT & LOSS, BEYOND WORDS, TOLSTOY.
Played THE RIGHT WORD with BB and Dale. Dale, who said that she never played it before, liked it. Used the rule that passing over an opponent allowed you to take the letter he was resting on away from him if he had it, and to use it yourself if you don't already have it. Made the bonus chips 5 points instead of 10.
Called Claude and we'll go to his house Thurs. about 7:30. Called Earl. Spoke for some time, but nothing on games and no date until I get more caught up on my work.
Finished transferring all of '76 [1976] diary onto index cards.
(cont. from 1/3) [1/3]
Sent card with note to Jerry D'Arcey. Mentioned CHINESE RUMMY, TOP DOG, BEYOND TIC TAC TOE, BEYOND SOLITAIRE.
Call from Adella Richter. She was sick most of '76 [1976]. Made tentative date for them to come here 1/15. We'll call towards end of week to check.
Made a diagram for RESCUE and played by myself. Didn't work out well until, in setting the numbers to be rescued, I used a 6 card a 0. Late in evening played with BB, each using just one color, and it was enjoyable to both of us.
