December 1976 - Wednesday 22
357th day - 9 days to come
Called Art Bernstein and answered some questions he had on
the BACKGAMMON rules and "glossary."
Rcd. Vol. no. 22 of FAMILY CREATIVE WORKSHOP.
Called Fabio to tell him about GANG-ABOOT. Not in and asked to
have him call me. In afternoon when we left, I called and asked
Fay Hartog to have Fabio call me tomorrow morning.
Rcd. X'Mas card from Pantheon signed by him, Fay Hartog.
Jane Feder, Janey Townsend, and others. Sent card "To all the wonderful
people at Pantheon!!"
Rcd. card from Felicia with message. BB Answered it. BB also
sent cards to the Orbanes and the Corns - with no message.
Also to the Greenoughs with message. Also to Bredehorns with
message that we'd like to see this.
Didn't hear from the Richters but BB wrote that we miss them
and would like to see them.
On "All Things Considered" there was a segment on HERSTORY.
Call from Felicia. She wonders
(cont. from 12/23) [12/23]
to visualize; and COUNTERSTRIKE, which he thinks calls for
more skill than BACKGAMMON. A board and rules for the latter
are also included in the package, and there is now one that is
comparatively cheap - didn't get the price.
The four of us played ROUND 'N' ROUND. At first we were so
far behind that it was discouraging. Then we started catching
up and ended only two boxes behind.
We played SEARCH and came out with a tie.
We played THE RIGHT WORD and Ronnie won with 230, I had
210, and BB and Audrie each had 155. They liked it.
Ronnie brought along the package of games from "Family Pastimes"
(which we decided to order on 10/2, I believe altho I don't have
any record of it). The following were in it: YIN/YANG; TURNOVERS;
THE FAMILY DECK with rule sheet and an extra booklet
6 GAMES MORE FOR THE FAMILY DECK; booklet (for separate charge)
5 GAMES MORE FOR THE FAMILY DECK.
We decided to divide YIN/YANG to him and TURNOVERS to me.
He will order another copy of THE FAMILY DECK while I keep this
one. I will get repros of everything that we are not getting in
duplicate. He paid something over $20.00, and will have to pay for
the new order. He only took $10 from me and I'll have to give him
more. (Tho it is true that YIN/YANG is much fancier than TURNOVERS).
Made date for 1/22/77, at their house about 3:00 pm.
Claude called as the Corns were leaving. Called him back and spoke
for some time. Discussed tentative dates, but nothing definite.
