13 Monday - December 1976
348th day - 18 days to come

Called Bob Gellman with the additions to PACHISI and to check that the colors were O.K. in NINE HOLES.
Discussed names with BB (actually she made up lists for both of them). Decided to use THE RIGHT WORD - Will Get You Far for RED LETTER and THE FAME GAME for FUN CITY.
Working all day on THE FAME GAME. Finished the board, using adhesive tabs for the values on the steps and the "fees" - $1,000 - $2,000 - $3,000 - $3,000 - $4,000 - $5,000 - $6,000 - $7,000 - $7,000 - $8,000 - $9,000 - $9,000 - $10,000. Made the dice. In an attempt to make the money more mean- ingful thought of the following: when a player gets $55,000, he turns it over for an "Award." One going to the end gets 1 Award for each face showing when he goes over - at least 2. Most Awards win. In case of tie, one with most money wins. Also win as soon as get a set number of Awards: 2 players - 8, 3 players - 7, 4 players - 6, 5 players - 5, 6 players - 4. Made 21 Award cards. BB typed new cards - Opportunities instead of Deals. I made the values about 50% greater.
Before going to bed looked at the model of RED LETTER back from Hall- mark. The plastic cover they put on the letter squares had two different colors and that made it hard to differentiate the colored squares. I'll have to use my old set.
