OCTOBER 1976 - SUNDAY 31
HALLOWEEN - REFORMATION DAY - 305TH DAY - 61 DAYS TO COME
Call from Bob Abbott. He asked if I saw Richard Nixon
while I was in California. Yes. He wondered if Moon had
reviewed EPAMINONDAS, which he had promised to do.
Told Bob that I was writing to Moon and I could check.
Read my review of EPAMINONDAS to Bob and promised to
send him a copy when out - the whole mag.
He sent a copy to Martin Gardner and didn't get an answer.
I told him that Martin is careful to send acknowledgments.
Also I didn't see a copy there and Martin always informs
me of games he receives. My guess is that it didn't get to him.
Copied the rules for NORTH SEA OIL (in box cover).
Call from Claude. Talked about going to thrift shops in about two weeks.
He picked up his games from the doorman at Howard Wexler's (too
busy then, Howard said, to see him. Claude found one of
Earl Perel's in the package.
Wald a little while ago suggested that he redo BIG FUNERAL with
Maria making the model and he, Wald, selling it - 50% to Claude
and 50% to Wald and Maria. Claude agreed. Now Wald wants
three equal shares with Maria getting one. Claude is looking forward
to negotiating.
